Mmmm life been pretty shit for me ever since after exams... haha look at it this way, during exams, even how busy I am, I still get like at least 5 to 6 hours of sleep... but now holis i like getting an average of 2 to 3 hours of sleep only!!! feeling so worn out nowadays... Got a job at Officeworks as Point of Sales Staff... writing report for my Frankston Boss... doing MUISS stuff and preparing to meet the VC of Monash... In the meantime also need to meet people from Monash International, Monash College and other organisation... sheesh... feel that I am breaking down... feeling very tired now... worn out absolutely... feel like .... feel like... giving up sometimes... why i cannot enjoy my holis like any other students??? I dont even have time to watch the anime that i downloaded from the halls... *sigh*

Anyway after the MUISS Vision Meeting, took me some time to come out with the MUISS Vision... well hope that it is well and presentable to everyone involved in MUISS.... here it is:

-------------------------------------------------

The MUISS Vision is established by executive committees of 2002 to 2005 to ensure a continuity of goals and policies by future committees. A three years Vision is established and a review will be conducted after three years in order to take into account of any changes pertaining to International Students and University issues.

Using MUISS as the acronym for our Vision, the following are the goals to be achieved over the next 3 years:

MUISS VISION FOR YEAR 2005 to 2007

1. Monash Culture
. Uphold Monash University’s image as Australia’s most internationalized university through the promotion of Multiculturalism.

· Assist the instillation of values of the Monash Culture (Excellence; Diversity; Innovation and creativity; International focus; Fairness; Integrity; Engagement; and Self-reliance) into International Students to reinforce their sense of belonging to the University.

· Assist in the providence of opportunities for International Students to continuously learn and add value to their university education, thus upholding Monash University motto of "Ancora imparo", which mean, "I am still learning”.

2. Unification
· Seek to improve cooperation, not competition with other campuses’ International Student Organisation.

· Seek to integrate Monash College into the University.

3. International Students’ Interest and Awareness
· Let International Students aware MUISS’ existence as a service provider.

· Reaching out to the majority of the International Students.

· Become the center of diffusion for International Students with regards to issues pertaining to their life in Australia and Monash University.

4. Strong Relationships
· Seek and maintain strong relationships with all Faculties of the University by establishing a presence.

· Maintain and work closely with Monash International in issues pertaining to International Students.

· Continue maintaining close working relationship with Monash Student Association in various student issues.

· Seek support from embassies and other external international organisations to facilitate multiculturalism.

· Establish relationship and plan events with Monash Residential Services to target International Students who stay on-campus.

· Establish friendly working relationships with other universities’ International Student Organisation.

5. Self Improvement, Continuity and Awareness
· Ensure that MUISS is a continuous learning organisation to ensure ready adaption to different external issues pertaining to International Students.

· Ensure that committee members of MUISS have the confidence of having face-to-face communication with all International Students to facilitate better relationships.

· Ensure that there is a sense of continuity in the direction that present and future MUISS committees work towards to, recognizing the fact that there are limitations of what can be achieved during each term.

· Be ever aware that MUISS will not exist without the support of the International students in Clayton Campus, thus there is a constant need to work on the base level of support.
