mmm working working working... life is pretty boring... first new year and christmas away from my family also nothing much happened... Had some quiet time with my friends in May's place...

The tsunami disaster made a lot of people realise how blessed we are. In the news on TV, a pastor in Sri Lanka said, "it is difficult to tell the people that God love them..." mmm sure make us think about life... As for the people living in fortunate places, help and aid started to pour in... this showed that kindness still exist in the world that is good... another notable quote from the news is that "Leaders from the world's richest countries and the most devasted poor countries will gather at Jarkata to discuss..." mmm and also US' sudden 10 fold increase in the inital US$45 million aid also raise a couple of eyebrowns... But the main qn is "Are natural disasters ways Mother Earth is trying to reduce the strain on herself?" Nobody knows... seems like much larger scale disasters may occur in the future... hope pple would be more prepared for it...

Tsunami... it is the name of a drink here in Melbourne as well... it is a lychee flavoured alcoholic (6%) drink that is sold in most Asian Resturant here... quite nice...

I am often impressed by the sheer power of natural disasters even though I did not experience it myself... even when i was young I always wanted to visit Pompeii, an ancient Italian city destroyed by the sheer might of the sleeping volcano "Vensausis" (think it is spelled that way) in A.D.79. I saw pictures of Mount Helen in US exploding and throwing tons of ashes onto the helpless victims. The closest i got to a natural disaster was when Mount Pintabalu (mmm wrong spelling again) exploded back in 1992 in the Phillippines and its ashes was carried all the way to Singapore. Mmm even this disaster was a relief to Mother Earth as scientists said that the volcanic explosion had made the Earth's atmosphere slightly cooler than before...

Natural Disasters, I would never want to meet them face to face....
